Logan Square Farmers Market Finally Has a 'Forever Home' — and It's Right at the Heart of the Neighborhood
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Logan Square ·
After 20 years of moving around the neighborhood, the Logan Square Farmers Market is finally putting down permanent roots. The beloved weekly market — voted best in the city by the Reader for seven years running — is making its highly anticipated debut at the newly redesigned Milwaukee Avenue plaza this season, nestled right at the iconic Logan Square traffic circle.
The market, organized by the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce, will stretch across the new Milwaukee plaza and a portion of Logan Boulevard between Kedzie Boulevard and Milwaukee Avenue. Shoppers can expect 103 rotating farmers and food vendors along Logan Boulevard and inside the plaza — including 44 weekly farmers — plus 14 vintage vendors setting up at La Placita in front of neighborhood staples like Reno and Same Day Cafe. To help neighbors navigate it all, the Chamber has launched a brand-new mobile app, built by local brother-run company Rich Off Creative Minds, so you can browse the full vendor roster and locate specific booths before you even leave the house.
The market drew 12,000–15,000 visitors a week at its previous locations — and this landmark new setting is sure to make Sundays in Logan Square even more electric. A dry run was held Sunday, April 12, to work out the kinks before the full season kicks off. Head down to the new Milwaukee plaza soon and be part of market history — Logan Square's greatest Sunday tradition just got its forever home!
