Summer Sounds Are Coming: Palmer Square Park's Beloved 'Live On Logan' Concert Series Returns for 2026

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Palmer Square ·

Palmer Square neighbors, mark your calendars — the grass at Palmer Square Park is about to come alive with music once again. The Palmer Square Park Council is gearing up for the return of its cherished Live On Logan free outdoor concert series, which has become one of the Northwest Side's most beloved warm-weather traditions. The series, held right in the heart of the park, has in past seasons drawn top-tier Chicago jazz and world music acts — including the Pat Mallinger Quartet, the J. Davis Trio, and Marcel Bonfim's Funkeria — turning Sunday afternoons on the boulevard into something genuinely special.

The 2026 season is shaping up to be another standout. Coming off a landmark year in which Palmer Square Park earned formal accreditation as an arboretum through the Morton Arboretum's ArbNet program, the park itself has never looked better — making it an even more stunning backdrop for live performance under the trees. With the volunteer mulching effort from last weekend's 'It's Your Park Day' freshening up that celebrated canopy, the stage (literally and figuratively) is set.

Details on the 2026 Live On Logan lineup and dates are expected to be announced soon through the Palmer Square Park Council. Head to palmersquareparkcouncil.org and follow the Council on Facebook to be the first to know when the schedule drops — and start clearing those Sunday afternoons. Free, outdoors, and right in your backyard: it doesn't get more Palmer Square than that.
