Logan Square's Beloved Farmers Market Has a Forever Home — And It's Better Than Ever
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Logan Square ·
Big news for Sunday shoppers, Logan Square: your favorite weekly tradition just leveled up in a big way. The Logan Square Farmers Market has officially settled into its brand-new permanent home at the redesigned Milwaukee Avenue plaza and along Logan Boulevard between Kedzie Boulevard and Milwaukee Avenue — and the upgrade is everything neighbors have been waiting for.
Organized by the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce, the reimagined market layout is smarter and more vibrant than ever. With 103 rotating farmers and food vendors, 44 weekly farmers, and 14 vintage vendors set up at La Placita in front of Reno and Same Day Café, there's something for everyone. The new setup also weaves in the beloved Mercaditos market — where Latino mothers sell colorful handmade goods — back at the Paseo Prairie Garden. Live music by the monument will fill the air every single week. It's been named Chicago Reader's best farmers market seven years in a row, drawing 12,000–15,000 visitors weekly, and this new chapter only adds to the magic.
And if that's not enough reason to celebrate, there's more Milwaukee Avenue momentum on the horizon: Trader Joe's has signed a fully executed lease to take over the long-vacant CVS building at 2053 N. Milwaukee Ave., bringing a long-sought grocery option right into the heart of the neighborhood. Summer 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark season for Logan Square. Head to the market this Sunday and let your neighbors know what your favorite booth is!
