Wrigleyville Is Getting Its First-Ever Women's Sports Bar — and It's Right Around the Corner from Wrigley Field
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·
Wrigleyville's bar scene is about to make history. Level Sporting Club — billed as the neighborhood's first dedicated women's sports bar — is set to open at 3343 N. Clark St., just a block and a half from Wrigley Field, and the buzz around it is already electric. Founded by Clarissa Flores, a former Northwestern University basketball player, Level Sporting Club is on a mission to give women's sports fans a true home base in one of Chicago's most iconic entertainment corridors.
Flores has been building the Level brand for months through pop-up events around the city, and that grassroots momentum has already earned the concept a loyal following before a single brick-and-mortar door has opened. The bar is taking over the former Lowcountry seafood boil space on Clark Street, and Flores is bringing in big-name investors and an established chef to round out the experience. While women's sports will always take center stage — think Chicago Sky, Red Stars, and every NWSL and WNBA game on the schedule — Flores has been clear that the bar won't ignore its Wrigleyville roots. "We are not going to exclude certain sports," she said, nodding to the Cubs games happening right down the block.
With the Cubs hosting their annual Pride Celebration game on Monday, June 15 against the Colorado Rockies, the timing couldn't feel more right for a venue rooted in inclusion and community. Head to Clark Street, keep an eye out for Level Sporting Club's opening announcement, and share your excitement with your neighbors — this one is going to be a game-changer for Wrigleyville!
