River North's Riverfront Keeps Rising: The Carlyle Club Is Taking Over 316 N. Clark St.

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Near North ·

Near North neighbors, the stretch of Chicago River running through your neighborhood just keeps getting better. The Carlyle Club, a brand-new riverfront dining concept, is officially taking shape at 316 N. Clark St. in River North — the storied space previously home to The Kitchen. With its direct river access and prime Clark Street address, the venue is stepping into one of the neighborhood's most coveted dining footprints.

Interior design for The Carlyle Club is being handled by Chicago-based Social Design Studio, whose renderings reveal a bar-forward layout with a warm, inviting material palette that makes the most of the building's stunning river views. The arrival of The Carlyle Club adds yet another bold name to a north bank riverfront corridor that's undergoing what observers are calling its most concentrated burst of restaurant activity in years — joining NAIA and other destination-worthy concepts that have already transformed the waterfront into a must-visit dining destination.

And if you needed another reason to head outside today, the Red Bull Spin Off is taking over Chicago right now on June 13 — a wildly creative cycling challenge where 40 teams from across the country compete on a floating race track, judged on creativity, showmanship, and race time. Near North is buzzing this Saturday! Have you spotted The Carlyle Club construction along the river, or are you braving the Red Bull Spin Off today?
