Paper & Pencil Just Leveled Up: Andersonville's Cult Stationery Shop Has a Brand-New Home on Clark Street
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Andersonville's most talked-about stationery shop has officially planted its flag on Clark Street — and it's bigger than ever. Paper & Pencil, the beloved analog haven co-owned by Tyler McCall and Eric Campbell, has relocated from its original 400-square-foot storefront on Berwyn Avenue to a sweeping new space at 5208 N. Clark St. — a spot four times the size of its former home.
The move has been years in the making. McCall and Campbell opened Paper & Pencil in 2023 and turned a profit within six months, riding a wave of enthusiasm for all things analog. Sales surged 150% year over year in summer 2025, and the shop's TikTok and Instagram following has grown past 98,000. The new Clark Street location — the former home of pet supply store Jameson Loves Danger — gives the shop room to stock new brands and products customers have been requesting, along with much-needed breathing room for the crowds that regularly line up outside. Meanwhile, the original Berwyn Avenue storefront isn't going anywhere: McCall and Campbell plan to convert it into a dedicated workshop and gathering space for the community.
If you haven't made the pilgrimage yet, this weekend is a perfect excuse. Stop by 5208 N. Clark St., pick up a new journal or a favorite pen, and help Andersonville's most joyfully analog shop celebrate its exciting new chapter!
