Two Big Rogers Park Fests Are Coming This August — And Your Summer Just Got a Lot More Delicious
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Rogers Park ·
Rogers Park neighbors, your August calendar is about to fill up fast — and in the most delicious way possible. Two beloved Far North Side festivals are locked in for back-to-back weekends this summer, giving the neighborhood not one but two reasons to get outside, celebrate community, and soak in everything that makes Rogers Park the most vibrant corner of Chicago.
First up, the Jarvis Square Pierogi Fiesta descends on the neighborhood on August 8 — a joyful, only-in-Rogers-Park celebration of the beloved Eastern European dumpling that has become a quirky, cherished local tradition. Then, just one week later, the Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest takes over the neighborhood's iconic arts corridor from August 14–16, transforming Glenwood Avenue into a sprawling outdoor gallery that showcases the extraordinary creative energy Rogers Park has always been known for. Both festivals are staples of the neighborhood's summer identity — and both are listed among WTTW's top picks in its official 2026 Chicago Summer Festival Guide.
With the Glenwood Sunday Market already running all summer and Chalk Howard Street set for August 22, Rogers Park is stacking up to be THE summer destination on Chicago's Far North Side. Mark your calendars, tell your neighbors, and get ready — August in Rogers Park is going to be unforgettable. Keep an eye on rogerspark.com and rpba.org for updates on both events.
