Andersonville's Culinary Battle Royale Is Back — and the Neighborhood's Hottest New Restaurants Are Ready to Rumble
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Clark Street's dining scene is heating up this summer, and not just because of the weather. Andersonville's 3rd Annual Culinary Battle Royale is set for July 20, giving the neighborhood's celebrated restaurant community a chance to compete, show off, and feed some very lucky neighbors — and it arrives just as two highly anticipated newcomers are putting down roots on the corridor.
Leading the charge of fresh flavors is De Colores Mexican Grill, the new Clark Street venture from Patricia Guerrero, the owner and culinary force behind beloved Edgewater Tacos. Guerrero is bringing her family's deep roots in the neighborhood to her new restaurant at 5403 N. Clark St., which features a full dining room and a rear patio — a step up from Edgewater Tacos' pick-up-and-go format. Close behind is Noble Thai, expanding from its acclaimed West Town location to 5721 N. Clark St., the spacious former home of Parson's Chicken & Fish, complete with a bar, dining room, and a large north-end patio. Noble Thai made Eater's list of best Thai restaurants in 2025, so expectations are sky-high.
With the Culinary Battle Royale just ten days away and two exciting new kitchens firing up on Clark Street, there's never been a better moment to eat your way through Andersonville. Keep an eye on andersonville.org for Battle Royale details, and make plans to welcome De Colores and Noble Thai to the neighborhood!
