First opened in 1973 by Alex Dana — originally under the poetic name Bocciola della Rose, meaning 'bud of the rose' — Rosebud Taylor Street spent more than 50 years earning its place as one of Chicago's most celebrated Italian restaurants. The scratch-made classics that made it famous are all back: chicken parmesan, veal piccata, chicken vesuvio, and the baked ziti that once earned a rave from Tom Hanks himself.
