The viral exhibition baseball sensation, famous for its jaw-dropping trick plays, choreographed dance moves, and playful twists on the traditional rules of the game, is squaring off against their rivals, the Party Animals (also known as the Firefighters), in what promises to be one of the most electric weekends the Friendly Confines has ever hosted. It's the Bananas' first-ever appearance at Wrigley Field, and neighbors lucky enough to have tickets are in for something truly unforgettable.

And if that weren't enough to make Wrigleyville feel like the center of the baseball universe right now, there's even bigger news on the horizon: MLB and the Chicago Cubs have officially announced that Wrigley Field will host the 2027 MLB All-Star Game on July 13, 2027 — the fourth time in the stadium's storied history. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred praised the Cubs organization and the City of Chicago, saying the work done to transform Wrigleyville into "an outstanding destination deserves to be celebrated and shared on a national stage." It will mark just the fourth time Wrigley has hosted the Midsummer Classic, following historic games in 1947, 1962, and 1990.
