Rogers Park's Beloved 400 Theater Rises Again — Doors Open TODAY Under New Owner

Rogers Park neighbors, today is a day worth celebrating: after three years of silence, the marquee lights are back on at the New 400 Theater. Chicago's oldest movie palace, located at 6746 N. Sheridan Road, officially reopens its doors this Friday, July 31 — and the neighborhood couldn't be more ready to welcome it home.
The man behind the revival is Jordan Stancil, a Michigan native whose family has been in the movie business for generations. Stancil plans to show an ambitious 40–50 titles per month at The 400, spanning first-run blockbusters, independent films, and repertory favorites — all at prices designed to make moviegoing a regular habit, not a special occasion.
