Block Party Season Is Here: Graceland West's Neighborhood Fest Returns to Greenview on September 13
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Graceland West ·
Mark your calendars, Graceland West — the neighborhood's most anticipated block party of the year is just weeks away. The Graceland West Community Association has announced its annual Neighborhood Fest will take over the 4100 block of Greenview Avenue on Saturday, September 13, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, giving neighbors a full five hours of community fun before summer officially fades into fall.
This year's fest promises to carry real momentum. Fresh off a summer that brought a new community leadership slate, a landmark garden walk, and the arrival of Access Contemporary Music at 4116 N. Clark, the Greenview block party feels like a fitting finale to one of Graceland West's most eventful seasons in recent memory. ACM Executive Director Seth Boustead is slated to be on hand, giving neighbors another chance to connect with the neighborhood's newest cultural anchor in a festive, open-air setting.
For a neighborhood of roughly 2,600 residents known for its deep community ties and tree-lined streets, the Neighborhood Fest is exactly the kind of free, all-ages event that makes Graceland West feel like a true village within the city. Whether you're a longtime resident or a newcomer still getting your bearings, September 13 is the perfect evening to pull up a lawn chair on Greenview and meet your neighbors.
