Uptown Live Festival Success Paves Way for New Development on Argyle Street
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Uptown ·
Chicago's newest summer tradition, Uptown Live, has proven to be a resounding success this year, showcasing the neighborhood's vibrant creativity through live music, local artists, food, drinks, and family activities. The festival has become a celebration of the community's art, culture, and spirit, drawing visitors from across the city.
In exciting development news, construction is now underway on the long-awaited 5-story mixed-use building at 1101 W. Argyle Street. The $5 million project, which received its building permit last month, will feature ground floor retail space and interior parking for 8 vehicles. The site has been cleared for some time, and the community is eagerly anticipating welcoming new residential and commercial neighbors to the Argyle area. Meanwhile, this Friday, October 17, No Salt Sailing will host their Charity to Help Veterans Golf Outing at Sydney Marovitz Golf course in the Buena Park neighborhood, raising crucial funds to support programs for those who have served our country.
Whether you're exploring Uptown's diverse dining scene, supporting local events, or watching the neighborhood evolve with new developments, there's never been a better time to be part of our community. Mark your calendar for upcoming activities and consider volunteering or donating to support Uptown's continued growth and vibrancy.
