Wicker Park's Indoor Farmers Market Kicks Off Winter Season at The Robey Hall
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wicker Park ·
The Wicker Park Indoor Farmers Market officially launched its 2024-2025 winter season yesterday at The Robey Hall. The market, organized by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, transforms the landmark venue at 2018 W. North Avenue into a vibrant community hub every Sunday in December, shifting to a bi-weekly schedule from January through March.
Shoppers at yesterday's debut enjoyed a diverse selection from more than 15 local vendors offering everything from sustainably grown produce, meat, and eggs to pressed juices, coffee, vegan skincare products, and artisanal baked goods. The market creates valuable opportunities for regional food producers to connect directly with neighborhood residents while educating visitors about sustainable nutrition options. Notable vendors include Anticonquista Cafe, Chicago's first family farm-owned coffee roaster sourcing beans directly from Guatemala and Honduras; Donutistry, specializing in handmade brioche doughnuts; Hook Point Fisheries, offering wild-caught seafood from Alaska; and Montelimar Bread Company with their fresh-baked goods. Community members are encouraged to visit the market on upcoming Sundays between 9am and 2pm to support local businesses throughout the winter months.
