Wicker Park is transforming into a holiday paradise this Friday, December 6, as the annual WPB Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting returns with expanded festivities for 2025. The free family-friendly celebration, running from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Wicker Park Field House, promises a day filled with magical experiences including complimentary photos with Santa, DIY s'mores stations, and hot cocoa.

This year's event features exciting new additions including holiday rickshaw rides transporting visitors to themed locations like the North Pole and Whoville throughout the neighborhood. Families can pick up Wonderland Maps to participate in the Holiday Grinch Hunt scavenger hunt, with participants having a chance to win a Wicker Park Bucktown shopping spree. While children enjoy the festive activities, parents can explore exclusive in-store promotions throughout WPB's shopping corridors, supporting local businesses during the crucial holiday season. The celebration culminates with the grand tree lighting ceremony at the Wicker Park Field House.

The Winter Wonderland event, organized by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce in partnership with SSA #33, the Wicker Park Advisory Board, and Chicago Park District, has become a cherished neighborhood tradition.
