Wicker Park's Winter Wonderland Expands with Holiday Gnome Hunt and Northwestern University Performance

Wicker Park's annual Winter Wonderland celebration on December 6 will feature exciting new additions this year, including a Holiday Gnome Hunt offering residents the chance to win a WPB Shopping Spree or two tickets to New Year's Eve at The Robey. Attendees can also look forward to a special holiday performance by Purple Haze, Northwestern University's a cappella group, scheduled for 2pm at the field house.
The free family-friendly event, running from 1:00 to 4:30 PM, transforms the neighborhood into a holiday destination with complimentary photos with Santa, DIY s'mores stations, and letter-writing to Santa. This year's celebration includes Holiday Rickshaws and a dedicated WPB Shopping Shuttle transporting visitors to themed stops throughout the neighborhood, including the North Pole and Whoville, while connecting shoppers to local businesses along Wicker Park's shopping corridors. The day will conclude with the grand tree lighting ceremony at the Wicker Park Field House, following a full day of festivities organized by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce that showcases one of Chicago's most eclectic neighborhoods.
