Wicker Park Welcomes 'The Alley Cat': New Neighborhood Bar Promises Affordable Cocktails in Nostalgic Setting

A comfortable yet curated dive bar is set to debut in Wicker Park this month as The Alley Cat prepares to open its doors to the neighborhood. The new establishment represents the first project from the newly-formed Tung & Cheek Hospitality Group, led by Derrick Tung, William Ravert and Tony Dezutter.

The trio behind the popular Paulie Gee's pizza restaurants in Wicker Park and Logan Square will operate The Alley Cat under their new hospitality venture. Patrons can expect a classic cocktail menu with all drinks priced at

4 or less, alongside wines and spirit-free options. The food offerings will feature a concise menu of six to eight items, including creative options like "Crispy Tatters" with black walnut aioli and the social media-inspired "Girl Dinner" featuring pickled vegetables, bread, and mustard.

With its nostalgic atmosphere and approachable pricing, The Alley Cat aims to become a neighborhood staple where residents can gather for quality drinks and food in a relaxed setting.
