Friday Flow, a 4th of July Bash & Scrabble in the Park: Washington Park's Weekend Lineup Is Stacked
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Washington Park ·
Washington Park neighbors, your holiday weekend just got even busier — and we mean that in the best possible way. Tonight, Friday, July 3, the neighborhood's beloved outdoor programming continues with Friday Flow presented by P&G, featuring a performance by Tiffany Bryant, running from 6 to 10 p.m. It's the perfect way to kick off a long weekend under the open sky before the fireworks fly.
The fun doesn't stop there. On Saturday, July 4, Washington Park hosts its own 4th of July Celebration from 6 to 10 p.m. — a homegrown way to mark America's 250th birthday right in your backyard. And for those who prefer their holiday weekend a little more strategic, Sunday, July 5 brings a Scrabble Tournament from 5 to 8 p.m. Whether you're a word nerd or just looking for something different to close out the holiday, this one's for you. All of this is part of Washington Park's ongoing Summer Porch Hours, running daily through the season and offering free, family-friendly fun for neighbors of all ages.
This is Washington Park at its finest — a neighborhood that knows how to celebrate together. Head to washingtonpark.org for the full summer programming calendar, and don't forget the Washington Park Advisory Council meets every third Wednesday at 7 p.m. to keep the community's momentum going strong.
