JCFS Chicago Completes Major Expansion of Food Pantry and Community Services in West Rogers Park
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Rogers Park ·
West Rogers Park residents are celebrating the completion of a significant expansion at the Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS) Chicago facility. The newly renovated center has quadrupled the size of its food pantry, doubled its community space, and created a dedicated area for its Intensive Day Program serving adults with mental health challenges.
The expansion strengthens JCFS Chicago's commitment to West Rogers Park, where the organization has established a significant presence with over 220 staff members based in the neighborhood. JCFS Chicago continues to offer expert, individualized help to support people of all ages and abilities as they strive to live successfully in their community, while enhancing social-emotional well-being for adults, children, teens, and families. The enhanced food pantry comes at a crucial time as approximately 2 million Illinoisans currently receive food assistance through various programs.
Community members interested in supporting JCFS Chicago's expanded services can volunteer at the food pantry or contribute to upcoming neighborhood fundraising initiatives. The organization invites West Rogers Park residents to visit their facility to learn about additional resources available through their comprehensive support programs, which serve as vital complements to other community food pantries in the area.
