West Rogers Park residents have something special to look forward to this winter as Indian Boundary Park Cultural Center has announced its first-ever Winter Arts Festival scheduled for December 13-14, 2025. The historic landmark fieldhouse, which was designated a Chicago Historical Landmark in 2005, will transform into a vibrant arts marketplace showcasing local artisans, musicians, and cultural performers.
The festival builds on Indian Boundary's reputation as a designated cultural center offering visual and performing arts programming throughout the year. "This winter celebration will highlight the incredible talent we have in West Rogers Park while bringing the community together during the holiday season," said Maria Hernandez, program coordinator at the park. The two-day event will feature textile arts exhibitions, piano performances, and interactive dance workshops that reflect the diverse cultural heritage of the neighborhood.
West Rogers Park residents interested in participating as vendors or performers can register through the Chicago Park District website beginning December 1. Families are encouraged to attend this free community celebration that will include hot chocolate stations, seasonal craft activities for children, and guided tours of the Tudor-style fieldhouse that has served as a neighborhood treasure since 1929.
