By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Rogers Park ·
West Rogers Park residents will have a festive opportunity to support local artisans at the upcoming Holiday Mercadito Market on November 22. The vibrant craft fair will be hosted at the Rogers Park Business Alliance's GROW/PROGRESANDO entrepreneurial training center at 7056 N. Clark Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a timely shopping experience before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The market is part of ongoing cultural celebrations within Camino Clark, West Rogers Park's state-designated Mexican Cultural District that spans from Howard Street to Devon Avenue. Visitors can explore a diverse array of handmade crafts and unique products while enjoying complimentary amenities including a free gift-wrapping station (limited to two gifts per person) courtesy of St. Jerome Church and traditional Ponche (a warm fruit punch) donated by local business La Casa Vieja.
This celebration highlights the neighborhood's commitment to supporting small businesses while showcasing the area's rich cultural diversity. West Rogers Park residents interested in getting involved with other community initiatives can also visit the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society exhibit at Northtown Library, which has been extended through December 31, 2025, featuring an extensive collection that chronicles the neighborhood's vibrant cultural heritage.
