The CheckOut Music Venue Launches Special Winter Concert Series for Graceland West Residents

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Graceland West ·

Graceland West music lovers have an exciting opportunity this December as The CheckOut, the neighborhood's innovative music venue at 4116 N. Clark Street, unveils a special winter concert series for local residents. The venue, which cleverly transformed the former 7-Eleven convenience store earlier this year, has quickly established itself as a cultural centerpiece for the community.

Seth Boustead, Executive Director of Access Contemporary Music (ACM), has created an intimate performance space with flexible seating for up to 60 audience members and a Yamaha concert grand piano. The multipurpose venue maintains playful nods to its retail past—including the original door chime and specialty slushies at the bar—while delivering high-quality classical and contemporary performances. Following the success of its grand opening festival in September, which featured over a dozen commissioned works, The CheckOut continues ACM's mission of making contemporary classical music accessible to wider audiences.

Residents interested in experiencing this neighborhood cultural gem can visit The CheckOut's website for December performance information or contact the Graceland West Community Association at [email protected] for special neighborhood discount opportunities. With its cozy atmosphere and diverse programming, The CheckOut offers the perfect winter cultural experience right in the heart of Graceland West.
