Warner Park to Unveil Interactive Seasonal Art Installation for Graceland West Winter Celebration

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Graceland West ·

Warner Park, the cherished green space at the heart of Graceland West, will soon transform into a winter wonderland as the Graceland West Community Association prepares to unveil a new interactive seasonal art installation next weekend. The installation, featuring illuminated sculptures created by local artists, will serve as the centerpiece of the neighborhood's end-of-year celebration on December 28th.

The project builds on Warner Park's growing role as a community gathering space in Graceland West. Previously home to community reading nooks and children's activities, the park is now expanding its cultural offerings through this collaborative art initiative. "Warner Park has always been a special place where neighbors connect," explains Sarah Maxwell from the Graceland West Community Association. "This installation celebrates both our artistic community and the natural beauty that makes our neighborhood unique." The illuminated sculptures will incorporate sustainable materials and highlight the neighborhood's commitment to environmental stewardship, complementing the area's existing pollinator gardens that collectively absorb over 2,000 gallons of stormwater annually.

Residents interested in experiencing the installation or volunteering for the celebration can contact the Graceland West Community Association at [email protected]. The winter celebration marks the final community event of 2025, capping a year of vibrant neighborhood activities organized by the association that has been a cornerstone of Graceland West since 1979.
