The Graceland West Community Association has announced the return of its popular family bowling event, scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2026, at the historic Timber Lanes on Irving Park Road. The association has reserved the entire eight-lane venue for its second annual Next Gen Experience Bowling Party, providing families with a classic Chicago bowling experience in one of the city's most cherished retro alleys.

Families will gather from 3:00 to 5:00 PM for an afternoon of strikes, spares, and neighborhood camaraderie. The event will include light snacks for children, and the full-service bar (cash only) will be available for adults. With a capacity limit, the association encourages early registration for this community-building event that has quickly become a neighborhood tradition. Timber Lanes, known for its retro charm and wooden lanes, offers Graceland West residents a unique opportunity to experience the energy of this Chicago institution where "league nights are electric, people connect and make life-long friends, and non-bowlers become bowlers."

Registration for the event is $50 per family (up to five people), with spots filling quickly. Interested residents should email [email protected] to secure their lane for this popular winter gathering. The bowling party kicks off the Graceland West Community Association's 2026 calendar of events, which will continue to foster the strong sense of community that has defined this North Side neighborhood since the association's founding in 1979.
