Bernard Horwich JCC Unveils Expanded Community Spaces for 2026 in West Rogers Park
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Rogers Park ·
West Rogers Park residents now have enhanced community gathering options with the Bernard Horwich Jewish Community Center's completion of its multipurpose space renovations. The facility, which has served the neighborhood for nearly six decades, recently unveiled its improved event spaces designed to better accommodate local celebrations, community gatherings, and family events.
The renovated spaces include modernized multipurpose rooms with upgraded kosher kitchen facilities, refurbished gymnasium areas, and improved outdoor pavilion spaces. "Whether you're planning a party, community gathering, or family celebration, Bernard Horwich JCC provides a variety of spaces to make it memorable," noted the center's director during the January 3rd ribbon-cutting ceremony. The expansion comes as the center prepares for its 2026 program lineup, including the popular Apachi Village Rogers Park Day Camp and expanded Learn-To-Swim programs offered in partnership with USA Management.
West Rogers Park families interested in exploring the new spaces can attend the center's upcoming open house on January 15th, which will showcase both the renovated facilities and the JCC's early childhood programs for the 2025-26 school year. Visitors are encouraged to bring kosher, non-expired, non-perishable food items for donation to the ARK Chicago, or gently used coats for Cradles to Crayons as part of the center's ongoing community support initiatives.
