West Rogers Park residents are celebrating a significant investment in educational infrastructure as PACTT School, located at 7225 N. Greenview Avenue, has secured a $500,000 grant to support its $3 million expansion project. The funding, part of Mayor Brandon Johnson's recently announced $33 million community development initiative, will enable the school to create six new classrooms dedicated to youth with autism.
The PACTT (Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow) expansion represents one of 58 neighborhood improvement projects receiving support through the City's Community Development Grant program. These projects collectively represent $90 million in public-private neighborhood investments across Chicago. "Today's grant winners represent a variety of neighborhood improvement projects that will enhance the livability and vitality of commercial corridors across the city," noted DPD Commissioner Ciere Boatright when announcing the awards.
Community members interested in learning more about this expansion or other neighborhood development initiatives can contact the Rogers Park Business Alliance at 773-508-5885 or visit their office at 1448 W. Morse Avenue. The next submission deadline for community development grants is February 13, 2026, offering additional opportunities for West Rogers Park organizations to secure funding for neighborhood enhancement projects.
