Music Moves In: Access Contemporary Music Opens Its New Graceland West Home at 4116 N. Clark

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Graceland West ·

Graceland West is about to get a whole lot more musical. Access Contemporary Music (ACM) — a celebrated Chicago nonprofit dedicated to contemporary music education and performance — has officially set up roots in the neighborhood at 4116 N. Clark Street, transforming the former 7-Eleven on that corner into what promises to be an exciting new cultural anchor for the block.

To mark the occasion, the Graceland West Community Association is hosting a special open house at the new ACM space on Tuesday, August 12, as part of its quarterly community meeting. Hosted by ACM's Executive Director Seth Boustead, the event offers neighbors a rare first look inside the freshly renovated venue. It's a unique opportunity to be among the very first to experience the transformed space and officially welcome ACM to the neighborhood. Adding even more weight to the evening, 46th Ward Alderwoman Angela Clay will be in attendance to greet ACM and field questions from Ward residents. GWCA members will also vote on three council seats during the gathering.

Whether you're a music lover, a curious neighbor, or simply want a say in how the community is governed, August 12 is a night worth circling on the calendar. Doors open at 7:00 PM at 4116 N. Clark.
